Bangalore, India

Savoury: It's been a good weekend with plenty of good eating. Last night we were at Savoury in Frazer Town. If you don't mind the kind of cramped space and the noise levels that seem exaggerated, it's difficult to get better food than what you find here. On a budget, you get some great Mediterranean food which tastes as authentic as it looks. We had some oh-so-good hummus with pita bread and a meat platter that spread across most of the table. The sheek kebabs were melt-in-the-mouth, reminiscent of another great place we used to frequent a few years ago - The Grand Taj. Top off a meal with a mint and lemon cooler and a few spoons of falooda, jam, jelly, ice dry fruit and all, and you're struggling to sit straight because you're so full. Mm mm good.

They have a new property opening right in front of this one. The finishing touches are being put to a massive three-floor building.
